This simple little beanie would be so easy to customize. I dont know about anyone else, but my girl grandchildren want girl hats and my boy grandchildren want boy hats. A few frills and furbelows should take care of that situation. My only suggestion is to switch to a smaller hook (I generally go two sizes smaller) for the final few rows as this makes the beanie fit a little tighter.

Wow. This hat is just too cute for words. You will really be keeping your head warm in style this coming holiday season if you are rocking this hat. I know my kids will get a kick out of this and their friends will love it also. I can see that I will be busy making a bunch of these soon. Glad they are so easy to make.

Wait, wait! I have a great idea for these hats. Since they are so tiny (made for 0-3mo) you could probably make a few with the same ball of yarn. SO, that's a plus because when you make these you will want to make several in a mix of boy and girl hats because you will be gifting them to the maternity ward at your local hospital...for the babies born on Christmas! How cute!

This is so sweet. I love making baby outfits. I have made so many using patterns I found on this site. This is a very easy pattern and should make up in no time at all. Then I just have to make a matching diaper cover and the set is complete. Thank you for sharing.
