This is a lovely hat to make for summer. I really should wear a hat since I am so fair. A friend was trying to get me to buy one but I figured, "I could make one" and here is a great pattern to make. It will work up in no time. Thank you for the pattern.

I think this is a sweet hat to have for this summer. The cotton yarn works nicely to cool and warm the head at the same time. I like that cotton breaths and is a great yarn used for this hat. The written pattern is well done and so easy to understand and follow. I am sure you can change hook size to make it larger or smaller. At least that is what I do. I have a spool of cotton yarn that is blue and white that I'll use to make my hat. Looking forward to making and wearing this cute hat with a small brim but big enough to protect the neck and eyes.. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet hat pattern.

I like the way the brim flips up on the ends of this sun hat. What a pretty hat. I love Sugar Cream cotton yarns. They are my favorite. Very high quality and easy to work with. I am making this for my daughter and her head is a wee bit smaller than this hat so I found it easiest to use a smaller hook rather than rewrite the pattern.

The summer sun is brutal here in Fresno, CA and I can't go out in it unless I have a hat on. I love this hat and always get lots of comments on it.
