"This Autumn Sky Hat Free Crochet Pattern is meant to complement the Autumn Sky Cowl. You will find the stitch used is the same throughout both pieces allowing you to coordinate your casual and stylish outfit. The Autumn Sky Hat uses the same Lion Brand Mandala yarn as the cowl. Making it a lightweight hat for you to have for the Fall. The pompom adds a fun touch but it is definitely optional. The band is crocheted in rows and with slip stitches giving a snug yet not too tight feel."
Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook, H/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge8 sts = 2”; 8 rows = 2” (Using Kernel sts)
Finished SizeS/M – 19” – 21”; L/XL – 22” – 24”

I did end up trying my hand at crocheting this super fashionable slouchy hat. It turned out beautifully, just as I wanted it to. Handmade pom poms are probaby my least favorite thing to do when crocheting. So I reached for a fun faux fur pom pom instead. I do love this yarn and can never get enough of it. I like to see if I can try EVERY colorway, because I love them all.

I dont remember ever being on this blog before. This is a new designer for me. I always enjoy finding new sites so I can check out all of their talents and view all of their work. This is an easy / semi easy pattern. It does have lots of pictures that explain the hows in depth. Very good tutorial.

Such a sweet hat pattern! I love the look of this Autumn Sky Hat and the pattern is easy to follow and understand. I have a friend who wants a fall ponytail hat and this pattern will work great for that. I really like the way the band is made with slip stitches, I've never done on that way so it makes it special learning new ways to do things. I'll have some fun with this pattern. There are dozens of Lion Brand Mandala patterns to be found here. I am becoming obsessed with this fabulous yarn! You can make really professional looking and beautiful things with it. I happen to have super short hair and hats tend to not look good on me. However, I love this colorway so much and the drape of the hat with the different colored pompom has me sold. I see that there is a matching shawl, too!
