From the Blogger: “Crochet security blanket for babies based on marine theme. This lovey blanket is made of soft natural light weight cotton yarn, cotton crochet thread and a little bit of fiber fill. Using 2 different crochet hooks for each yarn type. Pattern is designed mostly by simple crochet stitches. So this is a fairly quick and easy crochet pattern for most crocheters. You will need a bit of amigurumi crochet skill, also. The blanket represents blue waves with a cute octopus for teething.”
Crochet Hook4 or 2 mm hook (steel), G/6 or 4 mm hook
Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge10 double crochet stitches x 5 rows approximately 2 inches ( with 4mm crochet hook and DK yarn )
Finished SizeApproximately 12 inches in diameter.

Cute lovey and cute teething octopus. This is another pattern from Maz that is so simple of easy to make. She makes everything look so easy and her projects turn out so beautifully. The should soothe and keep baby busy and happy for a long time. Plus it can keep them warm when napping.

Honestly, for me, I would display this draped on the side of my accent chair as a conversation piece. I don't have a baby! I do have a 14 year old boy, though -) I just love cutesy stuff in bright colors. I truly believe things are meant to have more than one use, hence my idea of using it to decorate my chair or maybe hang it over the side of my couch. If you have pets I bet they would love to cuddle on this.
