"These adorable sandals are a basic pattern perfect for boys or girls. Change them up with my suggested variations or create your own! They have an ankle strap that fastens with a button and I've included instructions to add a T-Strap if you wish. I like to embellish them with buttons and beads but be careful, small items may pose a chocking risk. You should never leave children unattended! Size: 3-6 months; 6-12 months Designed in worsted weight cotton or acrylic yarn"

I love how this project is so versatile. One basic pattern with just a few changes, and you get totally different looks. Most of the instructions are self explanatory, but the designer has included photos for some of the trickier parts. Unlike a lot of baby shoes, the right and left feet are differentiated. Consider replacing some of the button decorations, etc. with appliqus instead.

I dont recommend using the stones or other decorations on your sandals unless they can be sewn on very securely. We cant watch the little ones all of the time and the choking hazard is just too great. The pattern for these adorable little sandals is explained very well and is easy to understand.
