I like that this simply soft afternoon wrap is designed and crocheted lengthwise. I have the option to make it a little longer or shorter depending on the person that I want to make it for. Believe it or not, these colors are of my Alma mater and I would like to make this for a couple of my classmates and I would like one a little longer than the other.

This is wrap looks really nice in those broad stripes. The colors make me think of fall and winter and before you know it, it will be. I know I could get some use out of this as I take my afternoon strolls in the park before it gets too cold. I would look great in a blue/grey combo color also.

I love the look of this wrap! You can really make it your own, by changing the colors to suit your needs or wants. There are so many different combinations available, I am just imagining all the different ways to make this beautiful piece! I am grateful that other people can come up with beautiful designs like this, because I have no idea where to begin!

I love simply soft. It's exactly that. I have used it many times in making baby items just for that reason. It's soft, easy to work with and makes up beautifully. This is a very easy stitch, you should be able to follow the directions with ease. Thank you for sharing.

I noticed under the picture above that yarnspirations provided the photo for this project, so I headed off to their site in hopes of finding more pictures to go along with this tutorial. I typed afternoon wrap into their search bar and it brought up the page for the free pattern with one additional photo.

Wow. Another gorgeous wrap. I've said before that I like huge wraps, shawls and ponchos. This is one of them but I want it in a different color scheme. This would look great in earth color combination probably in moss green/tan/white. Wow. Can't wait to make this.

Oh my, my! Oooolala! What a wonderful wrap! It looks so warm and comfy. I love it that it has stripes but they're all different widths. The simply soft yarn is just that...soft! This easy pattern looks earthy without being rustic. Wow! It's going to be hard to choose the colors. You could even use simply soft silver sparkle to add a little zing!

I love wraps and shawls and this one is no exception. I really love the colors they chose, but simply soft has a ton of colors to choose from if you prefer something else. Simply soft is also inexpensive, making it perfect for big projects since it usually comes in generous 6 oz. skeins.

What a great wrap. The colors are absolutely lovely together and blend so nicely. The designer did a great job with presenting the pattern in a very easy to understand layout. The wrap looks very thick and probably too warm for my area so I think that I will tweak it just a little and change to a lighter weight yarn.

My best type of wrap, so soft and warm and cuddly looking. Here in Cape Town, South Africa, the daytime temperatures are dropping steadily as winter draws nearer so we are beginning to reach for wraps and shawls. I love the interesting look of the slightly open work pattern which is rated Easy so is great for evening crochet during my working week. Caron yarns are not available in South Africa but if I cannot find them online I will use an equivalent.

What a very, very nice wrap pattern we have in the "Simply Soft Afternoon Wrap". I think the color combination is absolutely perfection. I like that the design is striped, but not evenly striped. I like the sort of random effect the designer has given us. It looks like it would keep me warm and cozy! The Caron Simply Soft is inexpensive and is often on sale at that craft store that starts with an "M".

I am going to make this next year to replace the blanket I am using at work. i don't have any Carson Simply Soft yarn. What size skeins were used for this pattern? Thanks

The Caron SImply Soft skeins are probably 4oz. Maybe 3.5oz.

Made this for my daughter in law...just changed a few of the colors. She loves it!

Finally, a BIG wrap! I cant wait to make this! I don't have the exact colors, but I have plenty of Caron Simply Soft. I will upload a picture when finished.
