These are really too pretty to be tucked away in a drawer never to be seen. I would proudly display these in any room but I know that would not be practical. Sachets are best used in an enclosed environment so that the aroma will linger. Given as gifts will allow you to share these beautiful sachets though.

Are sachets still a thing? I can recall my Mom would put sachets in our drawers when we were little. I guess the definition is relative and a sachet is not just a smell good used in a lingerie drawer. Placing something this pretty in a drawer never to be seen would be a tragedy. Let's call it something else so that it can be used in a different way.

This charming little sachet reminds me of my old fascination with all things Victoriana. The easy to work pattern for the bag results in a series of stacked shellspretty enough even without the rose embellishments. Ive added this rose pattern to my flower collection because its so easy to work. You could substitute any flower youd like, but I think a little nosegay of violets would be sweet, too.

I am unable to access the pattern for the Rose Sachet. I love it and I would very much like to make it for my niece who is getting married this summer. she could carry it down the isle. CFould you send it to my e-mail address?
