These are really cool! It is a great way to add something of a personal touch to perhaps an otherwise impersonal gift card, if you know what I mean. -) There are many uses for this gift card holder. Just load cash inside it, home made coupons(or real coupons) for a massage, a mani-pedi, stuff like that. Great idea for grab bag gifts!

I have made a bunch of these. I embroidered names on some that go to my closest family. Then I put gift cads or money in them and hang them on the tree. The grand kids love looking for theirs. Plus there is no torn wrapping paper to clean up. We have saved a lot of trees with these.

This is a bonus project because you get two different patterns! I love giving gift cards and I love getting them even more! Even though these easy to work projects were designed with the holidays in mind, dont let that stop you from using other colors for different occasions. I made the spiked version using primary colors for a birthday gift card, and the solid one in Steel Gray for a Fathers Day gift.
