Allen Williams

Allen Williams' mother and great-grandmother taught him to crochet when he was around eight years old. He made potholders, afghans, hats, and Christmas tree ornaments. He even ventured into the land of cotton crochet and worked up doilies and tablecloths. Allen finds crocheting to be relaxing and does it mostly in the evenings as a stress reliever from a long day at work.

Allen also loves to cook, and you'll find many recipes, especially old handwritten recipe cards, on his web site linked below. He has also explored many other hobbies, including pottery, glass bead making, painting, and sewing. Crocheting is one of his favorites, though, and it holds a special place in his heart. Even though he periodically starts and stops crocheting, it's one of the few crafts he has consistently done all of his life.

Love the vertical stripe scarf! I made one this weekend and it turned out really pretty. Thanks for the pattern, Allen!

what amount of wool is in a skein and do you still have to wind a skein?

You would be the guy for me :) Same interests to the point :) I love all your patterns and tutorials on Youtube and learned a lot. Thanks a lot Allan

You would be the guy I need in my life :) I'm interested in the same things :) I love all your tutorials and learned a lot :) Thanks

Allen I would like to know if you have ever made Boot Cuffs or Toppers? I would like a pattern for a pair.

Hi all! If you are looking for directions for one of the scarves click on the link under Allen's profile picture. Hope that helps!

Would like to begin making this scarf, is there a Hook size ? How do U get Allen to revise this pattern & put Hook Size?

I just love your Popcorn scarf. Do you have a pattern for arm warmers done in the popcorn stitch? I might be able to figure it out but would rather have a pattern to go by. Thanks, Betty (The hook size says: G. It is listed under materials.)

This looks like a easy & simple pattern to follow. Thanks for the pattern & yes what's the size Hook.

Hook size?

Do you know what size Hook yet? How do you begin?
