Unforgettable Tote
"Carry all your essentials in style with this classy tote. The Unforgettable Tote is a roomy bag measuring 16 1/2" wide by 11" tall (not including handles) and 4" deep. This bag is truly functional as well as stylish with durable handles that include a jute cord inside the crochet handle. This is an easy crochet pattern and the skills you will need to know are single crochet, double crochet, back post double crochet, and front post double crochet. The granny squares are created first, then joined to form the top band. The rest of the bag is crocheted in the round."
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook, I/9 or 5.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge16 sts and 14 rows = 4″ (10 cm) with larger hook
Granny squares = 3 1/2″ square with H hook after blocking
Finished SizeApprox. 16 1/2" wide x 11" tall x 4" deep not including handles

The unforgettable tote looks like it is a very room tote that could also be used as an everyday purse. A girl can never have too many bags in my opinion, and this unforgettable bag will make a great addition to my collection. Cant wait to make one for myself soon.

I saw this pattern in my Crochet Pattern of the Day email and I had to click on it right away. Even though I have a lot of projects on my list already, I saved this pattern because it's so pretty and functional! I love the size of it too, not too large so it can double as a handbag. but bulky enough to have space for all my things.

I think I found my new crochet bag! What better way to advertise your skill than by carrying around your latest Work In Progress in this gorgeous tote? Based on the size described in the pattern, it would be roomy enough for several skeins plus my zippered hook pouch. Using the jute to form the core of the handles would make it extra sturdy, too.

I love making bags. Especially bags that carry everything I need for my projects. This will definitely be on my crochet to do list. I also love the Unforgettable yarn from Red heart, the colors are beautiful. The granny squares on top are a good contrast to the colors of the bag.
