"Now that the gifting season is soon approaching, I wanted to design something that appeals to the younger crowd. I designed these cases to suit my android devices but they can easily be customized for an iPhone or iPad. I chose Lily Sugar n Cream as it is 100% cotton and gives great stitch definition. The stitch used in this crochet pattern is a simple variation of the single crochet which surprisingly looks like a simple star stitch. You can use the free pattern to make matching cases for your phones and tablets. I hope you will enjoy working on this pattern."
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook

This is a smart way to protect those expensive electronics when they are not being used. The covers that you can buy for the devices are sometimes really pricey. Making your own, not only can you really personalize you cover but you can also coordinate it.

I made a really simple cover for my niece when I gave her a very inexpensive tablet. I really did not think she would use it but I just thought it was a nice idea. Recently, she sent me this link for me to make her this. I guess she really did like the cover.

This is a very nice project. I recently received both a new smartphone as well as a Chromebook. My old phone cover wont fit the new one (different brand plus larger size), and I didnt get a case at the same time as the Chromebook. This will give me a chance to work up matching covers. Ill also have the added advantage of having something that looks very different from the rest of the familys!
