Trumpeting Elephant

"The Trumpeting Elephant was born out of a desire to make something simple and adorable for an upcoming baby shower. This little fellow has a trunk that is build right into his head, so little hands can carry him around by it and not tear it off. It also works up very well with any yarn, even tiny baby-weight yarns. It looks great on a baby mobile too! His head is positioned upward to keep him from falling over with that majestic trunk of his. :)"

Here is the video tutorial for this project, starting with the head and ears! http//hookedbykati.com/2018/08/20/trumpeting-eleph == ant-video-tutorial/

To everyone who was wanting the Savannah Pals again, I've put the band back together! Giraffe posted on the blog today (Rhino was posted a few days ago).

These are so cute! The designer has this listed as a Beginner project, so I was sort of surprised that there werent any photos included with either the pattern portion or more importantly, the assembly portion. When I clicked on the link for the other Savannah Pals in her Etsy shop, theyre no longer available. I couldnt even find a picture of them.

Jane, thanks for your comment. I will add in some pictures for clarity. Also, the other animals are being added to the blog now as free patterns, so I removed to listing for the Savannah Pals for Etsy, but I will put it back once they are all live on the blog. ) The Rhino is up there now. The giraffe will be in coming weeks.

Did you know there are more friends in this animal amigurumi group? There is a rhino and a giraffe available to make, too. I like the chunky look to this elephant. It looks so loveable. I am adult, too! And I don't care. What a fun and different baby shower gift to make for a dear friend. Or go ahead and sell these along with a crocheted baby blanket- as a nursery set!

The other animals don't seem to be there any more. I did see some other really cute things though.
