"Messy bun hats are all the rage and I couldn’t resist designing one too! The Be Mine Messy Bun Hat was inspired by Valentine’s Day and some leftover scraps of various Red Heart Super Saver and Red Heart With Love yarns, I had in my stash, in red and two shades of pink – waste not, want not, right? The hat works up quickly with basic stitches and the strategically placed rounds of color changes and post stitches give this hat a bit of interest and texture."
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

This is just such a cute stash buster hat! I love the combinations of colors and texturesjust the thing for a late winter day. Doesnt have to be just for Valentines Day, but since its actually my sisters birthday, Ill set this project aside for next year. She wears her hair short, too, but the designer gives instructions on how to proceed to make it a regular beanie. Just sew a huge pom where the pony tail might go
