I'm always excited about hexagon throws, hexagon blankets. I love hexagons because of their shape and the various colors that can be used in their design. This one is no exception. It is beautiful. It is a labor of love.

My senior ladies have been asking about hexagonal projects recently. This one is fairly easy to work up, but I do see some potential problems with trying to join as you go. Afghans tend to be heavy, and sometimes my girls do better with smaller pieces. I might make this a class project and have everyone just work up a few blocks to be put together later. The senior center will be having a raffle later this summer, and this would be a great class donation.

I just studied the pattern and it is very easy to make. Yohoo. I'm excited. I can easily make these lovely hexagons and make them into a whole blanket which will be another great conversation piece.
