Autumn Sky Cowl

"This Autumn Sky Cowl, free crochet pattern, can be worn in two ways, either hanging long or doubled up for bulk and warmth. The lightweight yarn allows it breathe and feel light when worn not causing heaviness. The Autumn Sky Cowl is a Fall accessory you’d want to have when the air gets crisper and cooler. This cowl is a very simple cowl to make once you get the hang of the main, featured stitch."

The name Autumn Sky Cowl says it all. This cowl was made for Autumn, it is stunning. The combination of the stiches and the trim stiches, plus the rosette is a beautiful one. Ive never seen a cowl worn as a sash but there is a picture showing this. Looks nice, I like it.

What a beautiful cowl this Autumn Sky Cowl is. I learned a new stitch and it is so unique looking but so easy to do. The Kernel Stitch, not only is there a written how to for this stitch, there are some well done pictures showing how to do it. I enjoy learning new stitches. I love the colors used in this cowl and the length of this one is 21 1/2 inches long, is perfect to use as is or to double wrap around the neck for colder days and nights. This one is on my "must make" list, I just need the yarn now. Thank you so much for this free crochet pattern.

Can we got the original blogger to give us a picture of the cowl WITH the hat at the same time? I have to see that. I think it is SUCH a nice gift set. My favorite color in this colorway is that deep pink going into the purple. The kernel stitch is different for me, having never used that stitch before...but there are great pics that make it easy to understand!

Hi! I'm the designer of this piece. Here is a pic of both worn together. I wore it with my coat. I'm glad you enjoy making the stitch. It really is a nice stitch that has a nice flow to it.
