This is a nice extension of a childs lovey. The child sized beach bag is worked separately, then a toy animal head is attached near the top. This designer has chosen to use already made stuffed toys, but it would be just as easy to work up your own amigurumi head just like for a babys lovey. She explains the entire process in an interesting embedded video.
