Oh my how I love the look of this Simple Dress To Impress. I like that a small size takes only 2 cakes of the Scheepjes Whirl yarn. The pattern is well written and very easy to follow. There are directions for all sizes from EX Small to EXXX large size. So nice to have the charts too. I like that the dress is made in half double crochet stitches, making it a more closed stitch pattern for better coverage. I appreciate the video she has for her special technique that I use to make the seam straight instead of diagonally. This can be used on a lot of other projects. I have saved this pattern and will be buying the yarn to make this beautiful dress. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet dress pattern.

What a pretty dress. I love the half double stitch . It makes a taller stitch and that makes the project quicker to finish. I wouldn't be able to wear it though because my body just doesn't look good in thus style. But I will make it fir some of my friends.

Oh how I love the gradient yarn that she used in creating this dress. It is beautiful! I can imagine this yarn being a great choice for MANY other projects for wearables- poncho, kimono, cardi, triangle wrap and more. I think you have to wear a slip or a tank dress underneath, though, just for assurances. The wide ribbing within the pattern is a nice touch.
