This is my kind of top. I love feminine tops that have a flounce to it. Clingy cloths have there place but to truly be comfortable, it is important that you clothing have a little give. If you have the figure, this could easily be a skirt if you wear it that way.

I think this would make a cute beach cover up / dress. Just continue working on the body of the top until it is the length you would like to cover your suit. I love the pineapple stitch, it looks very pretty worked into this top. I am making a different top currently that is also using the pineapple stitch.

This Marie Beach top looks so very comfortable. I like that this pattern is made using thread but I guess in a pinch you could use cotton instead. I do not know how much it would change the size but it would be worth the effort because using cotton yarn would get this done quicker than using thread. Either way would yield a delightful summer top.

I have always liked the pineapple stitch. I made table cloths using it years ago. Who would have thought I would be making this beauty using it? My son and his family go to the shore for the summer so I can make up a bunch of these fir my daughter in law and grand daughter to take along.

This is such a light and airy pattern...perfect for the beach! I love the pineapple motif in this pattern. It's so fresh and yet classic. The shell stitches will be a new experience for me but a good thing to add to my repertoire. The upper edging and the hemline is both delicate and fitting. I like the idea of adding more chains to the foundational chain to adjust the size of the top if I can figure that out. Thanks for the free pattern!

This beach top cover-up is so charming. I have crocheted the pineapple pattern before and know it is surprisingly simple to do and the end result is so attractive. The tutorial is ever so easy to follow with lots of pictures. The airy beach top crochets up quickly with minimal shaping which is appreciated.

Here is yet another Absolutely Must Make for my list of things to crochet! The teenage daughter and 2 friends have put in orders for shorter ones which, looking at the pattern, I hope will not be too difficult to do. I am not at all familiar with Aunt Lydias crochet thread but it should be ok to use another yarn that provides a similar gauge.

I love when the pattern design states that it is easy. Sometimes the directions will prove the rating wrong. I must admit I was doubtful until I read over the pattern directions. I believe I can construct this with a little effort. I love to work with cotton so this design is right up my alley.

There are no sizes indicated in the directions for this top. It only states that this top is measured 34. It does tell you that the pattern is worked in multiples of 10, so I guess it is just a little trial and error at getting the perfect fit with this top. The instructions are very easy to understand and the designer did a good job at included a lot of pictures as it is worked.

Wow, what an extensive tutorial! The only thing I didnt see on the page was a video. There are so many pictures that a video isnt needed. This is a pretty top. Perfect as a summer cover up over a bathing suit or tank top. I may make several just to have different ones to choose from.

IN reading the pattern I can truly appreciate the vast amount of step by step pictures we are given! I am a visual person, a visual learner, and sometimes looking at line after line of unbroken text can be too much for my brain! The pineapple pattern is so pretty in the yellow! Very nice to throw over a bikini top or tube top when you need to make yourself presentable.

Wow, this Marie Beach Top is beautiful! I know that it will take a lot of time to make this one, due to using # 3 thread. I have saved this pattern and think it will come out great. The written pattern has plenty of pictures to help and is well written. I have a bag of # 3 thread and know I know what I can make with it! I love the pineapple design and it looks great in this top. I just wish there was a print tab.. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
