I have worked the filet pattern before, but it was many years ago, but from what I remember I think that it was fairly easy. I see that this pattern is labeled for an advanced crochter however. I made need to revisit my skill set before attempting this cute summer top.

This lace summer top looks like it could have been purchased in one of those high end boutiques. I read of the directions when I saw filet inserts because I know how to do those thinking that was the reason why the skill level is advanced. I was wrong. The filet part is not what is complicated. Beautiful top but out of my league.

This pattern does call for an experienced hooker, but it can be done if you are patient and take your time. The pattern just repeats itself after eight lines. As for me, I just may give it a try just to see if I can make a go of it.
