Thanks for sharing this Mermaid tears shawl. I love the shape of it. I like the color but when I visited the site where the yarn can be purchased with 68 shades to choose from, I think I want something other than gray. Then again, who says I have to make just one?

Nine times out of ten I can tell when the designer has used cotton to complete a project. I guess I am biased about it. I love to work with cotton because the finished project just looks so much better. At this time, I have not used the brand/type described her but you can know that I did place an order already.

A quintuple crochet? I have been crocheting for decades and this is a stitch I did not know even existed. Wow! It states that it uses three hanks of this luscious pima cotton yarn. So at least it doesn't eat up too, too much yarn. A mermaid tears stitch is so beautiful, don't you think? It looks amazing worn with that dress, too. I think I might have to give this one a try.
