I love the look of this shawl, especially the edging, However I wish the designer included instruction for the foundation half double crochet to start the pattern off. I had to look it up. It does make a nice foundation. Otherwise it is a lovely pattern and will look great when it is finished. Thank you.

This pattern definitely needs more pictures! When you go to the site to get the pattern there is only one picture of the shawl. It is a picture of the completed project, but I think a few pictures taken and shared of the process of making this lovely piece would be very helpful to us.

I love this Fades of Purple Shawl! The written pattern is well written and easy to follow and understand. I love the yarn used and the color is a must in my closet. The trim in this shawl is so nice looking, I can't wait to make it.. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

So many shawls I have seen just aren't enough to really swing over the shoulder and drape and hang so pretty such as this one! I love that about this ombre purple shawl! There is enough of it to go around, for the plus sized gals like me. I tell you that purple ombre is beautiful. And inexpensive, too plus all you need is two to complete the project. I never block apparel, but maybe this one I would.
