Unicorn Tracks Scarf

"My fascination with unicorns is real, very real! When I first saw the new Red Heart Stripes in this fabulous color called Retro Stripes, I knew there would be unicorns involved. I discovered a really unique way to make some unicorn "tracks" and staggered them across the scarf. Imagine my surprise, though, when I made the fantastic pompoms. It's wonderful. This yarn makes tie-dye pompoms. As much as I love unicorns, I have to admit that the tie-dye poms are the best part!"

My daughter is totally unicorn obsessed these days, so when I saw the title of this project I had to check it out. Can this be made using a different yarn to the Red Heart multi colored yarn? Such as changing colors to make the multi look? I am currently in the UK and don't have easy access to the Red Heart line.

It's available at woolwarehouse.com

My niece will freak out when I make this for her! Last time I made a scarf for her, she requested I make one for her doll, too, so I think I'll just make two to start this time. ;)

What a pretty scarf. It's so dainty and feminine. The stitch isn't hard at all. There's a video but I don't think you will need it what with the excellent written directions. I love making Pom poms by hand. They aren't hard. I just use my hands to make them. Thanks for this one.

OMG! Take a look at this creative and super girly unicorn tracks scarf! How very creative with the sideways double crochets. It is an easy repeat that I could learn very quickly. I gotta find this yarn at my Michael's store! This is idea for the Pride Festivals all over the country, as well. Lots of good uses for this scarf. Thank you so much for posting this new pattern!

I can see that Ill need to drop any other plans for this evening and set to work on this gorgeous scarf. I dont have that exact yarn, but I do have some ombre in rainbow hues. I might also work up a swatch in a pastel just to show off that unique stitch pattern. The Print Friendly instructions are also downloadable, and theres a wonderful instructional video, too.
