Wow, this is stunning. It's a classic look but with a bit of modern style.

This is the scarf that goes with the matching beanie that was released in September of last year. To get the look of a knit piece when working in crochet, it requires you to use the often neglected and sometimes unknown third loop row. This is a fairly easy stitch but takes a little practice.

Thank you for your comment princess! It helps me get a better feel for what looks or feels complicated to the reader! This one was a hard one to pick a level for as it uses basic stitches, but it is a good point that the third loop behind both hdc and dc can be difficult if you don't have experience. I will keep that in mind! Thanks again!

Umm, no on the "easy" rating! Have you read the pattern? It really is very intricate and you have to be able to be very specific about what loops you are working into- you can get confused pretty easily if you are not an experienced crocheter.

Hi princess - that's a good point! The bloggers who submit these patterns to us are the ones who decide on the difficulty... but I can actually see if being fairly simple if you're paying attention. The stitches are easy, it's just a matter of reading and watching your hook. :)
