Ocean Waves Scarf

search

"Do you love Caron Cakes Yarn? Then you will absolutely love this scarf made using just one skein of your favorite yarn. Color Cake Pop was used for this scarf. I am sure it will look absolutely gorgeous in any of the colors offered by Caron Cakes. The scarf is worked lengthwise and can be crocheted in 2-3 hours. The scarf is 68 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. The colors and the stitch pattern reminded me of the calming ocean waves. Add another relaxing project to your kitty and stay warm and toasty."

The front post double crochets are what gives the faux rib-knit look to each row of stitches. It is worth practicing this stitch as I have been noticing that it is used quite often across all areas of crochet. The best part is that you don't have to change colors at all to achieve the desired striped effect.

What a beautiful scarf pattern! I love that the stripes go up and down. It'll make me look taller and at 5'3" I'll take every inch I can get thank you! So many yummy flavors to choose from in the Caron Cakes too. The front post single crochet is the only stitch I haven't done before so I think it could go fairly smoothly!

I don't see how this pattern can be made with one 3 oz ball of yarn.....I think it's 1 ball 3 oz of each colour.......also can't find Cake Pop on the Caron website.......perhaps the pattern which is lovely needs to be corrected

It is the correct yarn https//www.michaels.com/caron-cakes-yarn/M10481921 == .html It looks like it is 7.1 oz, not 3 oz.

I have Cake Pop Caron Cakes yarn. It is 7.1 oz/200g, 383 yrd/350 m. I have been looking for a pattern to use it on. This may be the one. The pdf download of the pattern is nicely designed. It is nice and easy to follow, without a lot of clutter.
