Mandala Cowl

"The Crochet Mandala Cowl, is designed to go with the Mandala yarn by Lionbrand yarns, and is a one skein project. (or one cake project) The detail of the stitching in this cowl creates a beautifully unique texture that will keep you stylish and warm. I got inspired by the name and the yarn construction. This yarn has some beautiful color changes that create a lovely gradient and presents many colors, without needing to do the color changes yourself, and without having to purchase 5 different balls of yarn to be able to have 5 different colors. Oh my. I like this Mandala Cowl! I like the alternating colors used here - blue, black, gray and I think. I can't wait to do this. Promise!

The fringe on this Mandala Cowl pattern is was caught my attention on this piece. I think it makes it fun and stylish as I have never seen fringe on a cowl before. Twisting it twice around the neck is so cute as shown in the photos. I will try this one.

I have never seen the yarn used for this project before so I had to use the old faithful Google search to find out more about it. Mary is also a new designer to me. This is the first time I have seen her blog. I see she also has a Facebook page and group. I will be watching out for her future pattern releases.

I am such a fan of the Lion Brand Mandala! It is such the perfect weight for a drapey shawl or cowl. It comes in so many vibrant colors, it is often difficult for me to chose when I am at the store. I go just to browse them all, and when a colorway speaks to me, it tells me what to make. -) The longer hang of this cowl is great to lengthen the body. All in all, I cannot think of anything that I would do differently! Thank you for this AWESOME pattern!

Thank you so much for this lovely comment!! I really appreciate it!! Thank you, thank you...
