Block Stitch Scarf

search

The Block Stitch Scarf is a beautiful addition to your wardrobe. This pattern includes a video on how to make the stitch, and a tutorial on how to make the fringe, which is an optional embellishment. If you prefer to eliminate the fringe, simply weave in the ends with a yarn needle. It's easy to customize the size and is made lengthwise. Great stash buster and is fun to make. Perfect for gift giving too!

I love this scarf, and wouldnt it be fun worked up in team colors? It would easily work for either a man or a women depending on your color choice. The Block Stitch is not difficult and the designer has provided very clear instructions. If youve never worked this stitch before, I would highly recommend watching the embedded video to get the gist of the pattern. Its not specifically for this project, but its close enough to get the idea.

I have never crocheted with the block stitch before and I guess that could be attributed to the fact that this is the first time I have seen it and I am happy to have run accross this pattern. I love when designs have texture and depth. It makes any piece just that much more interesting. I also love the color but I am considering using different shades that a more subdued and subtle.

Can you say Candy Cane? I love this. This block stitch scarf would be the perfect scarf to have during Christmas as it is reminiscent of a candy cane. The skill level is intermediate. I hope that with the tutorial provided I can master the block stitch and make one of these for my daughter in law.

What a pretty holiday scarf! You will be carrying your unused colors through the back as you go, so I hope you are familiar with that technique. I however, am not. I should really learn! Then I can make this scarf. Equally as stunning would be a black with the white.
