I remember using these hooded scarves with my girls when they were young. It didnt seem to matter how cold it was, if it snowed even an inch, they all wanted to be outside playing in it! This easy pattern is worked as two separate parts that are joined together, and although the designer starts with a joined Chain and Single Crochet for the first rows, I would definitely swap that for a Foundation Single instead.

The amazing grace series of free patterns are all great projects and pretty simple to make. The instructions are easy to understand. The designer does excellent work and her cause is a very good one and has probably effected almost everyones family in some way. The colors work so well together.

This pattern is basically for a hooded cowl. It looks simple. My problem with this is does the hood just hang there when you are not wearing it and how do you tighten the hood around your head? Personally I would want it closer to my ears outside in the cold.

I wonder if this would look as good on me as it does the girl in the picture. X-)
