I too like the nautical feel to this pattern! I've been wanting to try a chevron afghan pattern but some of them seem a little intimidating. This one's directions seem straight forward and right on. I'd like to make mine a little larger. I've seen where in other patterns they will include the larger size in parentheses but they didn't do that on this one. Can anyone help me there?

I like the nautical feel to this design. Blue and white is also great to go with a boys' room. She says to use the Red Heart Super Saver yarn, but may I recommend the Loops and Threads Impeccable yarns as a substitute? Super Saver seems too scratchy for my taste. This should be a good project to make as a gift to impress!

I have made this pattern multiple times in multiple yarns and I love it. It is just so easy and mindless. I really love that I can do it without having to have a pattern. I have used a variegated yarn for the whole thing before, and it turned it really cute too!

I really like this pattern. It worked out really well and the project turned out great. I had a little trouble at first. My chains were too loose at first, but I made a few adjustments and I was fine. I do appreciate the comments on here, they really do help when you are having trouble or need a suggestion. It's come in handy a lot for me. Happy crocheting!

These is the easiest and most relaxing crochet pattern you can find one you get the rhythm going its done before you know it. I made it a couple of years back, on red and white for my boyfriends and he stills loves it. Easy instructions, and just have fun with it.

I love this pattern, but find single crochet takes too much time. Have you ever modified it for a double crochet? Would it work?

Thank you for posting this pattern. It truly is easy! I tried q others before this one and ended it pulling the yarn back out because though I was following the instructions the project just wasnt coming together. This one is so much easier that I can even remember what to do without a ruler on the instructions. Again thank you for posting.

Just replacing the sc for dc will work fine. I made one 40 years ago this pattern is no different except for using the sc.

I'm OBSESSED with chevron, so naturally I can't wait to make this. It'll look so great in my living room!
