I have church friend who just found out she has stage 4 liver cancer, I will be making this beautiful shawl for her and also giving her a copy o the meaning behind the way the shawl is made. TY you so much for sharing this pattern.

This is a lovely stitch. As a crocheter, my level is somewhere between beginner and intermediate. I found that the pattern was relatively easy for me to read, and I've never learned how to read patterns. The end result was absolutely lovely. I also loved that the pattern came with a full explanation of the meaning of the colors and stitches. I've started making more. I have plenty of family and friends that could benefit from receiving one.

Wow, very interesting read! The link above does take you to the pattern, after reading the story you get the pattern on the same page. I really like the pattern and never tried the Sc3tog stitch, so after reading it, I had to try it out. I love the look it is very interesting looking.. The Trinity Stitch Prayer Shawl pattern is well written and so easy to make. I know I'll be making a few of these to give out as gifts and one for my self for the chilly nights. Thank you so much for this free pattern.

I found the pattern easy to follow and interesting to work up. Donated mine to our churches visitation ministry.

Great idea. I was thinking if doing something similar. I have family in AA and these seem a nice thing for help thru prayer and detox chills.
