However, once you are familiar with the pineapple stitches, you would find this pattern achievable. I chose burgundy color as it's my favorite, but you can simply make it with your choice of color. A fresh white poncho made with silk cotton would be perfect for bridal wear."

So I am not an advance crocheter by any means but I have a really good internet service that I can look up all kinds of techniques when I run into a problem. In addition to that, I have a neighbor that does dabble a little and we often consult each other. This will be a great addition to my growing crochet wearables.

My Mom, God rest her soul, could have pumped this project out in no time. Her favorite was the pineapple stitch. I was always amazed at her finished projects with that famous design. Til this day, I have never attempted the technique because I have inherited most of her work. However, none of it is wearable. In her honor, this is my "special" project for the year.

The pineapple stitch design is just so pretty. The shade of this yarn that is made with the pineapple stitch gives this poncho such a classy and classic look that will dress up anything that you wear it with. A perfect accessory to wear in the evenings on a tropical vacation.

This Lacy Love Crochet Poncho is so demurely simple. I love the classic pineapple design, perfect for a mom, aunt, or grandma. If you want, you can make this longer down to your mid thigh or down to your knees and you can do this in any color of your choice. Lovely and elegant!

Maz Kwok is an excellent designer. I love visiting her site and seeing all of the new items and even revisiting the older items too. This poncho is another winner from her. It is so lacy and feminine. Any newe bride would be lucky to be able to wear one of these or have one of these lovelies in her collection.

I really like the look of this Lacy Love Crochet Poncho. The pattern is well written and has a print tab. I need to figure out how to make it for a smaller person. I'm thinking of just not doing so many pineapples, and I will make mine a little longer too. I hope that works. ?? I love the look of anything with the pineapple done in it. I generally steer clear of making ponchos as most are heavy and to be frank, not that attractive. This project is just lovely and delicate, and looks more like an elegant short cape than a poncho. The most challenging part of the pattern is mastering the pineapple, but thats such a familiar motif that it shouldnt deter most moderately proficient crocheters.
