The arms are confusing? It says every 2nd row, but it doesn't specify whether it means every second row of each stripe or just every second row...

I'm having trouble understanding this striped pullover pattern. I've already started & hate to rip it out.I've gotten to 20" on the back, I'm making this sweater for my grandson who picked out the pattern because of the stripes & pullover, for christmas. I guess I'm not an Intermediate crocheter. anyway, he measures 20" shoulder to waist, & 37" in the chest, so I started with 58 sts, for med on k hook. so I'm not sure how many inches to do. then your description of the neck part confuses me. Do you have a tutorial on this pattern? I've searched & can't find anything like it, even on youtube.I've made soooo many sweater's but I'm getting old so I don't know why I can't seem to figure this out. I'm sorry if I sound like an idiot. Please help me! Donnafaye
