Make up a baker’s dozen in all different colors and have them on hand to give to friends for birthdays, host gifts, or just because you want to spread a little cheer. These can be used for just about anything. Measures appx. 7X8 inches. Simply add more rows of the granny square stitching to make larger squares, too."
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Whether or not it is really usable for a coaster for your mug of hot liquid, it is just as cute to display or hang on a hook above the kitchen sink. I am all about the look and the appreciation of it as an art piece. This motif has so many uses. I would even make the world's cutest scarf for myself by making a couple dozen of these and sewing them all together. Adorbs!

I have the same question. As a mug rug, it would seem a bit unstable for a mug full of liquid, hot or cold. And I am also curious about it's use as a dishcloth. Would you really use this to dry your dishes or would it be simply to hang on your towel rack as a decorative item in your kitchen?

This dishcloth is so cute! I like the idea of using this as a mug rug for my desk at work to bring a little color to my little nook. I am wondering though whether the frosting edging or the cherry on top would stick out from the rest of the rug and cause the cup to be off balance?
