Playful Fall Acorns

Make some Playful Fall Acorns to place in a basket as a centerpiece during the fall season. These are super cute and such an easy crochet pattern to make in a short period of time. Add some faux fall leaves for a beautiful piece.

These acorns are a snap to work up. I have a huge oak tree in my back garden, so finding the caps is not a problem. I have to confess to harboring a secret desire to work up a crocheted fairy cottage, and these would be a wonderful addition. I love finding patterns from other artists around the world! I knew if I saved those acorn caps, I'd find something to do with them! Cute.

Saravis, try a G hook with Worsted weight yarn (marked as 4 in the yarn weight). For most crocheters that will make an acorn tight enough that the stuffing won't show through. The pattern calls for fine (2) . If you use that weight try a C or D hook, which again will make the fabric tight enough that the stuffing won't show through. I think they would be cute in worsted....

I want to make these but I don't see anywhere what size crochet hook to use?

Saravis, I'm new to this and didn't notice the "reply", so check my comment for my suggestion on the hook sizes.
