Okay, so this year I am really excited about Christmas. For the first time in a long time I get the opportunity to really decorate. So I am pulling out all of the stops. I have to add to my current decorations as I had to part with some that I had accumulated. This is a cute, quick and easy one to start with.

Well, it is less than three months before Christmas. This super easy to make holiday crochet napkin ring can be just the thing to add to any collection of holiday decor. I am aware that some people do not go for the traditional holiday colors but remember we can always change the colors to suite our individual tastes.

These napkin rings arent only simple to work up but could be quite elegant with the right yarn. Instead of just the holidays, my prospective niece is planning a country style wedding, and this might work for her. I have some tweedy cotton yarn that reminds me of unbleached flour sacks when worked up flat. With a special embellishment, these might make nice favors for the guests, too.

Not that I don't love this pattern, but after staring and starring at it, I was hit with a major brain storm.what if you made the green leaves black ? And the red berries were done in brown? And you put small knots of white in the top two berries. Now add a knot of red on the center of the bottom berry. Would you not have a reindeer face like Rudolph ?
