Crochet St Patricks Day Shamrock and Lucky Clover Appliqus

"Using crochet hearts you can make a Shamrock for St Patrick’s Day or a 4-leaf Lucky Clover. Easy to make – just crochet the hearts and sew them together! Finished size: appliqué is about 1-3/4” wide and 2” tall. Materials: I was using cotton crochet thread size 10 in green and crochet hook size 4/2 mm. You are welcome to experiment with different yarn and hook sizes. For the Shamrock you will need to make 2 regular Hearts and one Heart with Stem. For the Lucky Clover make 3 regular Hearts and one Heart with Stem."

These are such nicely detailed appliqus. I dont have any fine #2 yarn, but I do have plenty of #10 crochet thread. The individual hearts are sewn together and form crisp edgessomething hard to do when working with worsted. Keep this pattern handyyou can use red hearts for Valentines Day, or group them in different colors to become a cute balloon appliqu.
