This is an adorable hat although the construction is a bit different. The hat is worked as a flat rectangle, then folded and sewn to together with the fold as the top of the hat. The earflaps are added later, using the side seams as placement guides. The designer also provides instructions for making the hat larger or smaller, and I was able to find a way to download a .pdf by using the Print button.
