I have a very round face, so Im not overly fond of beanies. Im not sure if it really makes a difference, but I feel like I look a little better in a slouch instead. This is just lovely, and the abundance of Shell Stitches gives it a decidedly lacy look. I also hate sewing in tales (I make tons of hats each year), so I was intrigued by her Locked Loop Ends Method for top down hats. She includes a link to her tutorial with the Materials.

Hmm. Interesting! What a lovely slouch hat for the spring weather and beyond. I think that if you are not particularly fond of the traditional sunhat, why not give this triple crochet shell stitch hat a try? It is a little different, but I think the Caron Simply Soft is lightweight enough that you won't sweat in the summer poolside.
