Venus Shell Slouch Hat

"The Venus Shell Slouch takes a standard shell beanie and adds a touch of graceful height for a lacy, open stitch texture suitable for any season. Lacy Boho slouch hats are perfect for busy mornings, cool weather, or even just amping up your style! This light and airy crochet pattern is sure to be a favorite- you can complete it with less than a skein of Caron Simply Soft (or your favorite worsted weight yarn.) There is a matching infinity scarf pattern, as well!"

I have a very round face, so Im not overly fond of beanies. Im not sure if it really makes a difference, but I feel like I look a little better in a slouch instead. This is just lovely, and the abundance of Shell Stitches gives it a decidedly lacy look. I also hate sewing in tales (I make tons of hats each year), so I was intrigued by her Locked Loop Ends Method for top down hats. She includes a link to her tutorial with the Materials.

Hmm. Interesting! What a lovely slouch hat for the spring weather and beyond. I think that if you are not particularly fond of the traditional sunhat, why not give this triple crochet shell stitch hat a try? It is a little different, but I think the Caron Simply Soft is lightweight enough that you won't sweat in the summer poolside.

Adding a slouchy crochet hat to any outfit instantly transforms you into having a trendy, put-together look. White is a great color since it matches just about anything in the wardrobe closet. No messy hair, no fussing over appearance, just effortless boho style. Im really enjoying being a hat person!
