This is so cute. Perfect size, perfect color and it's very easy to do. Plus it doesn't take that much yarn to complete.i will no doubt change it a bit. I always like to customize a pattern. This project just screams for a cute little flower at the base of the frien. A white one with a blue center.

Now is the time to be practicing on all your summer apparel. There are summer cardis and kimonos, summer vests made from a mesh stitch with cotton yarn, market bags and tote bags, and the summer wide brim hat, of course! All of these projects will work up quickly and will not require more than a few skeins of yarn. So, they are cost effective and are just enough to keep you busy at the pool or lakeside.

I like the look of this "Let the Sun Shine" Sun Hat. The pattern is well written and quite easy to follow. I have never used fabric stiffener before but I have used the brimlock and it does help, but makes a little harder to store the hat. She said she didn't use it so I'm not to sure how the brim stays firm? I like the idea of using cotton yarn for a summer hat because cotten breaths and it helps your head stay cool. There is also a sweet video teaching your how to make the Romanian Point Lace Cord! I love this and can use it for so many other things. Thanks!! I'm so looking forward to making this hat to wear this summer. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet hat pattern.

This hat is just the perfect size for summer. The brim is wide enough to shade your eyes and face, but not so huge as to get in the way. I want a big floppy hat for gardening, but for the beach or the pool, I dont need as much coverage on the back of my neck. I love the sweet ribbon detail, too. You can either use a coordinated or contrasting color as both would work.
