Now this is my kind of summer hat! I am super sensitive to the sun now, and I dont dare go outside without slathering on the sunscreen and wearing as wide a brimmed hat as I can manage. My favorite straw hat is fine for the garden, but if I want to go somewhere nice, it just wont do. Were going to the fair next weekend, so I have just enough time to work this up.

Wow what a great hat pattern this June Sunhat is. I have not seen this yarn before but now I'm on the hunt for it. I don't care to order online, so I will be looking at the stores for it. The written pattern is easy to follow and there is a step by step video to help if you need it. I needed to watch it to learn how to do the stabilizing slip stitches. I now know how easy it is to do. Thank you for teaching me something new. I have saved this one and will be making it after I find the yarn. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet hat pattern.

Truthfully, I do not think the June Sun Hat needs anything else to make it shine! Simplicity is the key here. Although she does make some suggestions as to what you can do to dress up the brim to your liking. The best option would be that simple, wide, grosgrain ribbon.

I still haven't found that Rewind yarn. Has anyone else found it in a store like JoAnn's or Michaels?
