This granny square pattern is amazing! The daisy in the middle is so sweet, I love it. If you make it with cotton as the author did, you could use it as a dishcloth. That would make a beautiful housewarming gift. You could also make several and sew them together for a beautiful blanket.

So cute and so colorful. These squares remind me of a spring flower garden. Love the colors. They would look lovely in an afghan or even a little tote. I remember my mom making me vests to wear to school way back in the day, but I dont believe those are very popular right now.

Guess what I did with these super cute granny squares with little daisies?! I doubled them up and sewed three sides together first before adding some fresh potpourri. I turned them in to the cutest little fragrant sachets for anywhere in my house. You can add a pretty ribbon easily by stringing it through one of the holes that are naturally made within the pattern. Just make sure to contain the potpourri in a little bag.

I love granny squares. They were my first attempt at making an afghan. This is very easy and you can take your time and make it one square at a time. You could make the center flower the same color or different. Same with the outside colors. It will be very pretty.

Here is a little flower garden that you can set out on your coffee table all through the year. These would be great coasters or even sewn/crocheted together for a runner or place mat or perhaps even used as a piece of clothing. The possibilities are endless with granny squares.

I have looked over a zillion Granny Square patterns and I have not once thought to use them as coasters. I like the daisy in the middle. You can color coordinate these coasters to match your homes decor and still protect your valuable furniture.

Daisies are one of those motifs that just make me happy looking at it. These simple granny squares are also one of those assembly line types of projects. I generally make all the centers first, then work the petals, and after Ive decided what colors to use for the backgrounds, work the square color last. I keep my bits and pieces in Hefty Quart and Gallon size Slider Bags. I couldnt do without those!

Wow, I am loving this new and different look for a granny square. These are little daisies tucked inside a classic granny. The pop of white nestled inside your choice of color border is just so cute! I would make up a ton of these and take her suggestion on making a full sized blanket! Or make your set of coasters, then make a couple BIGGER ones by increasing your rounds by a couple or a few and use them for table trivets/hot pads, AND make up a bunch for a table runner! You'd have an entire kitchen set for yourself or for a great gift.
