Well, isn't that something? For the first time in my life, I was just at JoAnn's TODAY and came home with my first ever skein of the Premier Everyday yarn in the color bright violet. Currently it is for a bandana style scarf. But not that I see this fingerless mitts, I believe I will be making a pair to match with my scarf! Fun!

I made the mistake of showing these to my niece who is getting married this winter in the Nirth. I figured we are in Florida so I was safe. But I forgot her fianc is stationed in Maryland . She really liked them. I said I would make them for her. I am adding irridescent clear bicones to them.

These are certainly lovely for winter wedding, but it would be just a lovely for a summer wedding, too. We have one coming up at the end of June, and the prospective bride is already planning to include a number of custom made crochet pieces. Ive already shown her a few other fingerless gloves, but I have the feeling shes going to want these for her bridal party.

What a lovely pair of fingerless gloves / mittens. These seem to be my passion this winter. I enjoy making them and giving them as gifts. I love the dainty feminine look of these gloves. They remind me so much of the romantic Renaissance era. These would be awesome for a winter wedding.
