Lavender Blue Baby Bonnet

"The Lavender Blue Baby Bonnet is a true heirloom piece. It's lightweight, spring-like, perfect for Easter and filled with textures that compliment, and contrast for a one of a kind accessory. It would also make an adorable photo prop or baby shower gift. Any light-weight fingering yarn/sock yarn should work. You could also make this with 2 strands of crochet thread, or only one strand if you're looking for a preemie/newborn size. It's a highly versatile pattern, and can be made larger using thicker yarns/larger hook sizes. I've included some more specific instructions on the blog."

This Lavender Blue Baby Bonnet is just what one of my Grand daughters has been asking for. I love the how it looks and the fact that I can make it for a 5 year old by using a larger hook and thicker yarn. This pattern is well written and and easy to under stand, after reading all the comments, I think it will would work out. I'm looking forward to making this one for her for Easter. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

You're welcome! Happy crocheting!

I worked this bonnet up over an evening, and it came out just as pretty as the picture. I wanted to make it larger and use some baby yarn (3), so I experimented with different hook sizes until finally settling on a G hook. I made mine in an off white as I want to thread it with light green ribbon. Im also making small ribbon roses for an extra touch on the band.

It sounds lovely! I'm glad you enjoyed the pattern! )
