"The Heart Easy Shells Hat is designed to complement Heart Easy Shells Baby Blanket. It uses the same stitch in the round. The blanket and the hat together make a lovely combination for newborn baby (yours or someone else's). The pattern is designed to use a DK #3 weight yarn for a newborn hat that measures 10.5" around (stretch to 12.5"). For a slightly larger hat, you can use a heavier weight yarn and/or a larger size hook."
