Here we go again with another great granny square project. Is there nothing a granny square can not become when you really set your mind to it? This only takes a skein of Bernat cotton yarn to make. Be sure to pick up a couple of them because you will want more than one.

I can not wait to make these for myself. In a few short weeks, I will be downsizing to a smaller space. I want to have all new stuff but that is not going to work with the pocket book. I can easily afford a couple skeins of yarn and have two new dishcloths. New space, new stuff.

This is about as basic a dishcloth that you can get. I actually prefer it since its a more open pattern than more solid cloths, so its easier to rinse out and maintain. The video at the top of the link provides some good tips on yarn selection and dishcloths in general, but it seems to be on autoplay. Not a fan of that feature.

I made a few sets of these for Christmas gifts this past Christmas. I made sets of three with one being the natural color, one, red, and one a combination of natural and red. I then folded then into squares, stacked them, and tied a bright red Christmas bow around them. I used them as quest gifts when I needed an unexpected present.

I love working with granny square type patterns. These are always so easy and end up working up pretty quickly, and always come out very lovely. One awesome idea could simply be making these and tying them around homemade soaps for a very awesome, bath-time gift for the holidays! Love this pattern.
