Wanderlust Beanie

"The wanderlust beanie is designed for those wild-at-heart individuals who feel called to explore, to travel, and to blaze new trails. I designed this hat with Lion Brand "Heartland" yarn making it soft and cozy, yet lightweight enough for summer evenings. Not only would this beanie serve you well on a camping or hiking trip, it would also make an excellent piece to donate to charitable organizations that provide hats for cancer patients. The stitch pattern in this beanie is fairly simple, making it an excellent crochet pattern for those who have mastered the basics (single, half-double, and double crochet), and want to play around with them in new ways."

I love the earthy, rugged, strong and determined feel that this Wanderlust Beanie has to it! I'm sure it's a combination of the stitches, the yarn and the leather tag used that gives it those characteristics in the whole. There are a wonderful selection of yarns available as I write this and I'm sure some of them would soften the look considerably. I may create a couple of these for my adult sons for Christmas this year!

The details in this hat is what makes it so unique. It may be listed as a hat to make for a male but if made in the right color it can easily be made for your favorite teenager boy or girl.

I really like the leather fabric tag used on this hat. I will have to see if I can find some with my business logo on it. It really makes the finished hat look more professional. I am so intrigued by the different stitches used. This pattern has the perfect look for a guys hat. I will use Red Heart Soft yarn only because I have a stash of it. There will be many more hats of different colors and yarn in my future.

I was actually surprised to find this hat listed under Mens Crochet, but Im not sure classifying it as Unisex would add to the appeal. When Im searching for a pattern for a specific person, I do tend to look for a project by the gender and age of the recipient. This gorgeous hat would work well for either men or women, and theres even a matching scarf if you want to make complete gift set.

Wow I love the texture of this Wanderlust Beanie! After reading the written pattern I know I will be making a lot of these. One for every member of my family. Every year everyone wants a new hat and this is the one for this year! This pattern is so well written and looks great. After reading the comments after the pattern, I see there is a good tip to make this pattern into a messy bun hat. I'll be having some fun with this pattern for sure! Thank you so much for sharing this great crochet pattern.

It may be a men's pattern but I think it is really a unisex beanie! Especially if you're a woman with long hair. It is simple. It has a great texture to it. The back loop crochets are what give it the stretchability factor. I love that octopus label sewn on there!

Patterns for good quality and stylish mens fashion crochet items are few and far between from what I have been able to find. This beanie is one of those rare finds. I can see one of my guys wearing this beanie. It has a very modern look to it and the color used is a very masculine color. Love the tag they added.

This looks really cozy, and I love the earthy color of it. It'd be absolutely perfect for the fall months. The texture of it looks so professional.
