I use paper gift bags all the time but they can be rather plain. Usually theres a gift tag attached that coordinates with the bag, but even they can be rather blah. This little fillip not only adds to the appearance of the bag but also tells the recipient that you took the trouble to personalize it. The cross shape would make a nice Christmas or Easter ornament, too.
