Sunflowers are my absolute favorite flower, and this is one of the prettiest representations out there. I really like that any hook size will do (appropriate for the yarn, of course), so I can make several different sizes using the same instructions. That Double Single Crochet stitch really makes the seeds stand out. Ive never worked it before but I have a feeling this wont be the last time.

Love this sunflower! It could be sewn onto so many different items. I had an idea after seeing this of just attaching them to the walls in my kitchen to brighten it up a bit and make it a little more cheerful for the summer parties. I have a lot of cotton yarn and will make a few. This project takes so little time.

What a nice job on this pretty sunflower embellishment. It can be utilized in so many ways. I think if you create a solid color afghan, with a simple stitch like an interesting half double crochet. Use this sunflowers to embellish each of the corners of the afghan. Viola! You have a pretty late summer/early fall season themed afghan without a whole lot of work. Let the four corners of the afghan be the star of the show.
