"I bought Caron Simply Soft Paints Rainbow Bright a year ago planning to make my girl a skirt out of it but never had a chance to do so. And since I love purses I decided to make one instead. I never thought that it would make a cute frame coin purse and it would be a unique and unusual gift idea on such occassions like birthdays, Mother's day and even on Christmas... a gift with a personal touch."

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

I have not seen this particular colored yarn at any of my local craft stores, but Ill keep looking. Its just gorgeous, and I can see why the designer bought it! The purse pattern itself is very easyif you can crochet a circle, you can do this part of the project. But I havent found the metal purse closure locally either. I hate to buy stuff online unless its from a known vendor, so Ill keep looking for that, too.

What a cute idea. I have yarn very similar to this so I know what it will look like already. After reading the directions, it appears to be easy too. So this is an easy, cute and inexpensive project. My favorite kind. I have a grand daughter who will love getting this for her birthday. And since that's in September, I have time. Thank you for offering this.
