I love this purse. It is the perfect pattern to make for a little girl's first purse. She will be able to carry it on her shoulder or it across her body.

Its always fun going out, whether it is to the park, beach or shops. I live in Florida so it is almost perfect weather here every day to go out somewhere. It is so hard to find a casual looking bag thats small yet also cute just to carry a few things along with you! This bag is perfect and so easy.

My teen and nearly teen granddaughters love these little bags. Theyre so easy to work up. Since the body of the bag is essentially a tube, the only sewing is the seam along the bottom. I love the cushy strap, too, because that is one thing that puts me off carrying a purse altogether. I can think of all sorts of ways to personalize these with appliqus, beads, etc.

I am reminded of high school students who use a bag like this Pretty Purple Purse. It is very user friendly because it has huge opening enough to accommodate books and notebooks. It can also carry a medium-sized lunch box and a small pencil case. This will also look great in earth colors and other solid colors of your choice.

Does it say exactly which yarn she used for this "Pretty Purple Purse"? I am just wondering because I would like to find that exact yarn for myself. I have a good friend who is totally obsessed with all things purple and this purse would be the perfect addition to her collection. The puff stitch is adorable, too! It is a fun stitch to do.

Thank you for the pattern, it is beautiful. I started on it this morning and it is going great. The tutorial was helpful with teaching the puff or bobble stitch. I like this bag also because you really can make it as big as you like. I always enjoy seeing the designers creative talent in all of her projects.

I don't usually like crochet bags but when I saw the designer is Hopeful Honey I downloaded the pattern-tute and got hooking. WOW this bag pattern is versatile and sooooo easy to follow!

This was the very first purse I ever made. And even after making over 50 purses I still will come back to this one. It's so easy and can be done up in so many different ways. I have added a longer strap, lined it, added inside pockets, used hombre yarn to give it a self shading affect. You name it.

What a beautiful purse. I think I'll make mine with a longer strap and after reading the pattern, I notice she doesn't explain the puff stitch. Reading the post/questions, people are posting links on how to do the post stitch. The writer of the pattern says the more loops on the hook the thicker the purse will be. So with that being said, I'll be doing mine with 9 loops on the hook for each puff stitch to make it thicker. To do the 9 stitch puff stitch, you will yarn over, insert hook in chain space and yarn over, pull up a loop, repeat this 8 more times, you will have 9 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all loops on hook, ch stitch to close. I hope this helps!! I will also line the bag. I like the idea of using velcro for closing the bag. Thank you for this free pattern.

Pretty, I think I will try this really soon! Thx! Darlene

Really pretty

Thank you so much for this pattern. I love it Bobbi

I love this pattern. It will be easy to line and put in a large snap on the inside or make a flap to match the strap and crochet on one side of the top and make it long enough to flap over about 2 inches and add a pretty darker or lighter purple button tih a snap on the inside of the flap and other part of snap sewed onto the outside of the tote itself. Thanks BJ
