I don't think this is "Nana's Retirement Pattern", like it said in the email.

If you guys have time to make a lot of this Medicine Bag, it would be a perfect gift for the elderly members of the family this Christmas. This is the perfect place to put their meds or any item that should always be close to the elderly person. For example money, a small whistle, cellphone. Perfect for them because it has a handle that can be worn as a body bag.

I love this Medicine Bag!! I am a old hippie and still carry my medicine bag with crystals. I crocheted a mini back pack for mine, but this bag will work great too. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. You can change up the color of the yarn for your personal aura. If a necklace isn't for you, you can add a simple pin to pin it to your cloths or put into your pocket. I don't go anywhere without my crystals.. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet bag pattern.

Back in my first Hippie days, I had a small leather medicine bag, and eventually the leather got hard and difficult to handle. So this crochet version looks to be a lot easier to deal with. Ill also pass this pattern on to my niece Hannah for her handcrafted jewelry business. She can offer these little pouches for sale along with her own creations.

I have never seen a pattern like this one! It is so original. I bet there are a lot of folks out there who would love to have something like this at their disposal to use as necessary. An idea- soak a cotton pad with your favorite essential oil and place it inside. Put the medicine bag under your pillow! Carry it with you in your luggage! The shades of purple are very serene.
